How To Lose 1-2 Stone In 2-3 Weeks

Here’s how to lose 1-2 stone in 2-3 weeks. No endless jogging on a treadmill, no situps, and no bogus diet pills. This is a healthy, easy, and enjoyable way to lose a stone fast.

Here are 3 simple rules to lose 1-2 stone…

Rule #1: You need to eat 40 or more grams of fiber (or do you say fibre?) each day

This rule is easy to follow if you have no problems eating some cheap, high fiber foods that don’t taste so bad. So if you buy some lentils and or black beans… this will easily allow you to get over 40 grams of fiber each day.

A 15 ounce can of black beans has 25 grams of fiber and 25 grams of protein. In the USA a can costs less than 50 cents. I think that is about .25 Pounds Sterling in the UK. A great value. Takes only 5 minutes to cook. If you could add 1/2 a can to your breakfast and lunch… perfect.

Lentils are even better, but a little more complicated to cook. Each 1 pound (or do use kilos?) bag has 13 servings… with each serving containing 11 grams of fiber and 10 grams of protein. Cost… only 72 cents in USA. About .3 Pound Sterling in the UK. (Note: You British are so lucky to have a strong currency… I’m jealous!)

Eat 2-3 servings a day of lentils. Listen, if you truly want to lose weight without much effort and without changing your diet too much, just add some lentils and black beans to your diet. It’s not like I’m asking you to give up your favorite foods… you’re just adding 2 great foods.

By the way, notice how I said “lose 1-2 stone” instead of saying lose blah blah pounds. See, you British are starting to convert me over to your superior English skills and measurements. Smile! Laugh!

Rule #2: Jump on a mini-trampoline at home

This is your exercise part of the rules. What I’ve found through years of experience and training over 3,700 women is that the best way to speed up your metabolism is by doing mini-workouts of 2-5 minutes throughout the day. I don’t know how long the commercials are in the UK, but in the USA they’re about 2 minutes… and a typical 1 hour tv show has 22 minutes of commercials.

So if you can get in 11 mini-workouts of 2 minutes during a 1 hour tv show… perfect. This is way better than doing just 1 22-minute workout non-stop. If you can add in another 22 minutes of jumping on the mini-trampoline… even better. Hey, what’s the big deal… you’re still watching tv.

You don’t have to go and waste your time driving to a gym and you can still watch tv. Yes, I know I’m great. Seriously, you can’t beat this for fat loss and boosting your metabolism. If you want, change the exercise. Whatever.

Quickly… to lose 1-2 stone fast you need to concentrate on your diet. That’s where you get your biggest results. However, exercise accelerates your weight loss dramatically if you follow the above rule since it trains your metabolism to burn calories at a higher rate for longer periods of time.

Rule #3: Eat 3 apples a day

Apples are just about the perfect snack. Low in calories, yet high in fiber and water content. Very filling. Each apple contains about 5 grams of fiber. So this will help with rule #1 as well. If you were to not do anything else I’ve written about and just ate 3 apples a day, you’d probably lose 1-2 stone in 2-3 months.

Of course, if you did the other 2 rules as well, then you can expect to lose 1-2 stone in 2-3 weeks. Your choice. Now invite me to your country so I can practice my “proper English”.

What is the required P90X workout equipment? Here’s a little background information.

Tony Horton, the creator of the Beach Body P90X workout program has put together 12 different workouts that can be easily performed in your home with only a few pieces of equipment. No need for an expensive Bowflex, Total Gym, or Bio Force TNT that costs thousands of dollars. The P90X can help you achieve your fitness or bodybuilding goals.

These 12 videos take you through a 12 week or 90 day program to get a lean and ripped body. Believe it or not, it does work!

All you need to get a great workout is some P90X workout equipment.

Here is what you will need:

* A set of good quality resistance bands

* Chin up bar

* Push up stands or a perfect push-up

In place of the resistance bands, you can purchase a set of dumbbells. Unfortunately, you will have to buy multiple sets unless you want to be changing plates. You can purchase the Bowflex Select Tech Dumbbells, but they are not cheap!

The Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells for example offers resistance from 5 pounds to 52.5 pounds, and they will run you $399. On the other hand, a set of Bodylastics Terrel Owens resistance bands offer 5 pounds to 249 pounds of resistance. For less than $100 and it has a lifetime defects warranty.

I personally prefer resistance bands, not only because of the lower price, but because they are portable, adaptable and more versatile than the set of dumbbells. If you’re looking for a good set of resistance bands. I would recommend either the Bodylastics Home Gym or The Golds Gym Resistance Bands. Of the two the Bodylastics offers more options.

In regards to a chin up bar. There are some options here, if you’re looking for low-cost. You can use the resistance bands to do pull downs, instead of doing chin-ups or pull ups. Or you can purchase a simple doorway chin up bar for around $20, and it will work just as well as the $50 P90X chin-ups bar.

When it comes to push-ups do you really need push up stands or a perfect push-up? The answer is both yes and no. Both of these items will reduce the strain on your wrists and allow you to go deeper in your push-ups on the other hand, you can do push-ups between two chairs and get the same results. Whatever you decide push up stands or perfect push-up, they’re both inexpensive at around $30 for either set.

That’s pretty much the “required” P90X workout equipment, you can also consider a floor mat for doing some of the ab exercises, but it is not essential.

The Truth About Horizon Treadmills

Hopefully you haven’t arrived at this article expecting a rave review of Horizon treadmills. Although the company, has been around for a long time it seems their treadmills have not kept up with the evolving fitness equipment scene. In my opinion horizon treadmills should not be considered for your home gym.

At between $700 and $1,400 some people might say that because they are a cheap treadmill you shouldn’t be expecting too much. However I think if you are seriously considering setting up your own home gym then you should be expecting a treadmill that is a) going to perform and b) last longer than the time to your next birthday. Sure it’s a cheap brand but you might not be saying that after you fork out for the costly repairs!

The main problem with the machines is that they are manufactured in China. Although this keeps the cost of production down it also results in less than favorable quality.

Don’t let the good looks of these machines fool you. Remember if you are looking for a cheap way into the home gym scene then you must do some decent research into the brand and products themselves. Horizon treadmills look good new but they won’t look so good sitting in your house collecting dust!

Don’t get me wrong, there are some decent, cheap treadmills around but they are few and far between. You are much better off in the long run getting something that costs slightly more but won’t breakdown at the first hint of hard work.

Advantages

As I’ve mentioned above, Horizons are cheap, discount treadmills. Their machines range from $700 to $1,400. At this price they will appeal to people looking for a bargain. They are good looking machines.

Disadvantages

Being made in China their quality has a lot to be desired. Their looks and low price can be deceiving to a beginner so don’t be fooled.

Recommendation

I don’t recommend Horizon treadmills. You are far better off saving up for a slightly more expensive but better quality treadmill that will still be working a year down the track.
